Hosted by the Superior YMCA, this family-friendly area invites kids to get creative with a beaded snowflake craft and explore interactive sensory bins designed to spark imagination and curiosity. It’s the perfect place for younger festivalgoers to play, create, and take a break from the cold while enjoying engaging activities in a cozy indoor setting.

Bring the whole family for a free Princess Meet & Greet featuring Sterling Silver Studio. Kids can meet and take photos with their favorite Disney Princesses and characters!

Come test your snowshoe skills on our freshly designed obstacle course. Staff from the Lake Superior Reserve have put together a fun and challenge course for kids to try out snowshoes on. How fast can you get through the course?? Come find out!!

Ever have the feeling the golf season is too short in the northland? Well don’t worry, come visit Nemadji Staff at Capt’n J’s Mini Golf Course for a quick 9 holes. This snow covered under the lights experience is perfect for the whole family to enjoy. Bundle up and come post your low score this year down in Festival Park! Enter for a chance to WIN 4 players with shared carts for the 2026 golf season at Nemadji Golf Course in Superior, WI after your round.

Experience winter thrills at the Lake Superior Ice Festival’s very own constructed sledding hill — the biggest of its kind in Superior! Whether you’re racing friends or taking a leisurely glide, this hill guarantees smiles all weekend long.

Our team will be on-site to keep the fun going throughout Friday and Saturday. Sleds are provided, but feel free to bring your favorites from home!


Add a splash of color and creativity to your Ice Festival experience! Our talented face painters will be on hand transforming faces into wintery works of art—from frosty snowflakes and icy animals to bold designs and festival favorites. It’s a fun, family-friendly activity for kids (and kids at heart!) and a perfect way to show off your Ice Festival spirit while you explore all the festivities.

Strike up some cool competition at Ice Bowling!

Head to the beach ice area and try your hand at this frozen twist on a classic favorite. Ice Bowling, proudly sponsored by Village Lanes Superior and run by the Superior Rotary Club, invites festivalgoers of all ages to roll for bragging rights on an icy lane.

It’s easy to play, fun to watch, and guaranteed to deliver laughs, friendly competition, and plenty of winter cheer. Whether you’re aiming for a strike or just giving it a try, Ice Bowling is a fan-favorite activity you won’t want to miss!

Blizzy’s Mascot Dance Party is a high-energy, family-favorite event where Ice Festival characters and local mascots hit the dance floor together. With upbeat music and plenty of silly moves, this is your chance to see your favorite characters show off their best dance skills—and kids are encouraged to jump in and join the fun! Whether you’re busting a move, laughing from the sidelines, or snapping photos, this joyful dance party is guaranteed smiles, giggles, and unforgettable Ice Festival memories.
