Snow{less} Snowman Contest
With the warmer winters we’ve experienced in Superior in recent years, we wanted to find a creative way to continue featuring business sculptures—without relying on freezing temperatures to keep them intact. For the 2026 Lake Superior Ice Festival, we’re excited to introduce our all-new Snow{less} Snowmen!
Businesses from across the city have joined the fun by creating snowmen made from anything but snow or ice. These one-of-a-kind sculptures showcase each business’s creativity and personality, and we think you’ll be amazed by what they’ve dreamed up. We invite you to take a drive around Superior to see them all, then return to this page to vote for your favorite! Voting will be open January 30 – February 6. The top three snow{less} snowmen will win trophies and prizes!
BONUS: everyone who votes will be entered into a drawing for a prize basket! (one entry per email address)
Snowmen Ice Sculptures
Along the route, you’ll also spot six unique, beautiful snowman ice sculptures, sponsored by the Tourism Development Commission and Gotta Be Superior. Each piece is hand-carved by our talented ice artists at Krystal Kleer Ice Sculptures, LLC.
Don’t want to drive yourself?
No problem! We have fun, relaxed tour options where we handle the driving and you can sit back and enjoy the sculptures.
